June is here and that means only one thing… summer holidays. If you have little fizzing balls of energy at on your hands and are finding it challenging to keep them entertained, fear not. Top 10 Things to do with Kids in Singapore June 2016
1) Sentosa Funfest 2016
To celebrate the summer holidays, head over to Sentosa for a mega beach party on Palawan beach. Expect to find all manner of beach fun and games going on, from larger-than-life inflatables and beach games to a ton of water-based adventures. All that fun is bound to bring on your apetite, but don’t worry, there will be a delicious array of food on offer to keep all the family fed and happy.

2) Wild Wild Splash
Marketed as Singapore’s only water carnival, the Wild Wild Splash is a fun packed day with plenty to do for all the family. Kiddy activities include a floating trampoline, kids kayak, paddle boats, sandcastles, kids golf and a range of old-school games such as dart the balloon. For the big kids there are jet-skis, banana boats and power boats. There will also be a range of F&B outlets and even an interesting flea market.

3) Popping Puppets
Give the kids an artsy-dancy two-day holiday experience with Popping Puppets! Kids aged 6 – 12 years old will craft their own puppet while learning dance moves from a choreographer. It promises to be a great day for everyone.

4) Mr. Maker and the Shapes
Popular Cbeebies entertainer Mr. Maker arrives in Singapore as part of his live theatre tour. Lots of singing and dancing for children and adults alike, all rounded-off with a big ‘make’ finale for everyone to join in.

5) Shrek The Musical
Everyone’s favourite grumpy ogre and fairy tale misfits are brought to life on the stage in this live action adaption of the superb Dreamworks animation. With its seamless blend of children’s fairytale adventure and adult humour, it is sure to be a hit with the whole family.

6) Chugginton Live: The Great Rescue Adventure
A live and interactive musical show based on the popular children’s cartoon. Brewster, Wilson and Koko arrive in Singapore to complete their advanced training and when Koko finds herself in a spot of trouble at the Rocky Ridge Mine, her friends must rush to the rescue and put their new skills to use! The production features impressive trains with realistic working features set against the backdrop of an LED screen that transports the kids directly to Chugginton! Great for the little choo choo fans in your life.

7) Peter & Blue Go Around The World
This 60-minute ballet created specially for children tells the story of inquisitive friends Peter, his dog Blue and his cat Calico as they embark upon an adventure which sees them travelling to the continents of the world in a magic boat. Kids can also meet the characters and have their photos taken with them for the perfect end to a magical outing.

8) Aviva Superfundae
This truly sounds awesome! 30 non-stop games across five themed zones (plus a toddler play room for the really small ones) means that there is a ton of stuff in store for the kids! Throw in a mega candy cannon that fires candies once an hour (count me in!) and free ice cream all day and you have a recipe for some happy kiddiewinks! Great food is provided by Parsabella and there is even beer for the grown-ups…sounds like the perfect day out!

9) Imagine/Native – Creative Fest For Kids @ The S.E.A. Aquarium
Local publishers, authors and illustrators play host to a series of events and workshops at the S.E.A. Aquarium to encourage kids’ creativity through reading and play. There will be books galore, provided by over 20 publishers, and any books bought on the date will get a sweet 15% discount. There are interactive games throughout the day and a daily lucky draw with up to $15,000 of prizes to be won.
10) Metamorphosis by Worlds of Puppets
Described as ‘one of puppetry’s most impressive talents without comparison..’ this is a fascinating collection of short stories, using intricate marionettes and rod puppets carved of wood. This is a real artistic delight for kids and adults alike.
