Best Free Places to Watch the 2016 Chinese New Year’s Eve Fireworks in Singapore

1. The Marina Bay Sands Waterfront Boardwalk

The Marina Bay Sands Boardwalk is situated right in the heart of the action and will bring you up close and personal with the fireworks as they are launched in the Bay. It is situated right in front of the Marina Bay Sands. This location will be only be suitable for families with older children, as the close proximity to the fireworks may be slightly intimidating and too loud for very young kiddies.

2. The Esplanade Waterfront Promenade

If you’re looking for something more than fireworks alone, consider spending the evening at the Esplanade Waterfront Promenade. While you’re there, check out the Huayi Chinese Festival of the Arts.

3. The Helix Bridge

The Helix Bridge links Marina Bay to Marina Centre, firmly in the heart of the action. It will undoubtedly present an ideal viewing platform for the spectacular fireworks but be prepared to have your eardrums blown out.

4. The Marina Barrage

This is another great location where you can combine watching the Chinese new year’s eve fireworks with some family fun and entertainment. Although you may not get the unobstructed view of the fireworks that is available elsewhere, there will still be plenty to see and do and the distance away from the fireworks may make it a slightly more suitable location for younger kiddos.

5. The Promontory @ Marina Bay

If you’re looking for a slightly less crowded location from which to enjoy the Singapore Chinese New Year’s Eve fireworks then the Marina Boulevard Open Field will be perfect for you and your family. This year some viewing stands have been erected, so it should all be pretty organised and gentile.

6. Esplanade Bridge, Esplanade Drive

The view (and sound) from the fireworks from the Esplanade Bridge will be bold and brash. Will it be a crowded mess? Of course, but these are just plain some of the best views of the Singapore New Year’s Eve Fireworks.

7. Clifford Pier

Get there early if you intend on viewing the fireworks from here. Its a small space but it promises amazing views.

8. Marina Square

A great option for those who love a great fireworks display but don’t like the noise. Plus, if it all gets too much excitement for the kiddos to take, you’ll have the added convenience of the shopping mall and toilets nearby.
