No Christmas is complete without some serious face-to-face time with Father Christmas. However, we nearly dropped off our chairs in shock when we heard the sad news that Santa Claus would not be making his annual photo op appearance at Tanglin Mall this year (although we are assured he will be around the mall at times throughout December). But worry ye not, there’s still plenty of fun to be head elsewhere on the island. Our busy little elves have been Santa stalking and have rounded up the definitive list to the best places to see Father Christmas in Singapore 2015.

Marina Bay Sands

Father Christmas will be making his annual appearance at Santa’s Village at the Skating Rink in Marina Bay Sands. There will be photo-taking sessions throughout the day and visitors who spend over $50 at Marina Bay Sands will receive a free complimentary photo with Santa Claus himself. There will also be special festive entertainers roving throughout the mall, so you’re guaranteed a great Christmassy experience as you shop.

When: You can meet Father Christmas between the 15 and 25 December 2015. Mon – Fri: 5pm – 9pm. Sat & Sun: 12pm – 4pm & 5pm – 9pm. Festive entertainment will be available from 14 – 27 November 2015: Thurs & Fri: 6pm – 10pm; Sat & Sun: 12pm – 8pm. 28 November – 27 December 2015: Mon – Fri: 6pm – 10pm; Sat & Sun: 12pm – 8pm.

Cluny Court

Father Christmas will be making an appearance at Cluny Court between the 18th November and the 6th of December. Santa will be stationed in a living room on the 2nd level, or found wandering around the mall. Visitors will get a chance to have their photograph taken with the man himself. The event is being run to raise funds for the Children’s Cancer Foundation, so please give generously!

When: 18th November to the 6th December.

Gardens by the Bay

This year’s Christmas Wonderland at Gardens by the Bay is going to be pretty fantastic and those looking for a chance to meet Santa won’t be disappointed! Head to Santa’s Cottage in the Super Tree Grove where your kids will be able to meet Father Christmas, have their photograph taken with the big fella and even get a small gift, all for just $20.

Snow City

What better place to get into the Christmas spirit than the snowy landscape of Snow City? Santa is there throughout December and professional photographers will be around to get the perfect shot of your kiddos meeting the red velvet-clad legend. In addition to standard photos, you can also purchase other memorabilia including Christmas cards, and magnets. Snow City are offering a ton of Christmas entertainment; check out their website for more information.

Toys for Tots Evening at the American Association of Singapore

The American Association is holding a great charity event that aims to provide festive fun while also helping children in need. Simply bring along an unwanted toy and enjoy Christmas drinks and entertainment. Although Santa will be there, mamas may be more interested to hear that he will be accompanied by the US marines 😉

Tanglin Mall

While the Santa photo set up we all know and love will not be available at Tanglin Mall this year, Father Christmas and his gingerbread men (in my day it was elves?!) will be making a special appearance throughout the Christmas period. Apparently these guys will be dishing out sweets and chocolate; so perhaps the new arrangement isn’t so bad after all. As always, Tanglin Mall will also be hosting a massive range of events to get you well and truly into the Christmas spirit.

SantaCon Club Street Singapore 2015

If you’re looking for Santa overload or quite fancy donning the Father Christmas outfit yourself, head down to Club Street on the Saturday the 19th December between 5:30 pm and 12:00 am and you’ll be greeted with hundreds of Santas. Take the kids early doors before things get messy and you’ll get some great photos.

Santa Run for Wishes Sentosa

Thousands of Santas will be pounding the pavements of Sentosa this Christmas in aid of Make-A-Wish Singapore, a fantastic charity that grants the wishes of children who are seriously or terminally ill. Do your bit by taking part in the run on the 28th November 2015. All participants will enjoy exclusive park access into Universal Studios Singapore after the run. Registration closes on the 12th November. If you’ve missed a race slot or running isn’t your thing, head down there anyway to lend your support for the runners.

When: 28th November 2015 from 5:30 pm onwards.

Dear Santa at SOTA Drama Theatre

What better way to get the kids into the Christmas spirit than to watch Singapore’s production of Dear Santa, the story of a child who writes to Santa requesting a special Christmas present. After searching for the perfect gift, Santa finds just the right one and delivers it on Christmas Eve. The show is suitable for children from two years old and includes audience participation. The organizers tell us that the kiddos might even get a chance to meet Santa himself after the show.
