5 Free Places to Watch The Singapore National Day Fireworks 2012

25th Jul 2012

The Singapore National Day fireworks signify the end to the Singapore National Day Parade (NDP) and represent the perfect end to a day of celebration. This year’s special event falls on Thursday the 9th August and it marks Singapore’s 47th Birthday. The fireworks will be launched from various locations dotted around Marina Bay between 8pm and 8:30pm.

It is situated right in front of the Marina Bay Sands. This location will be suitable for families with older children, as the close proximity to the fireworks may be slightly intimidating and too loud for very young members of your family.

Marina Barrage LocationThis is another great location where you can combine watching the fireworks with some family fun and entertainment. This year a huge carnival will be located at the Marina Barrage that will host a large flea market and some live entertainment. Although you may not get the unobstructed view of the fireworks that is available at other locations on this list as a result of the Barrage’s position behind the Marina Bay Sands, there will still be plenty to see and do and the distance away from the fireworks may make it a slightly more suitable location for younger children.
